HARDNESS TEST
The hardness of material is its resistance to penetration under a localized pressure or resistance to abrasion. The hardness can be determined by any one of the following tests.
(a) Indentation or Penetration test:
Brinell
Vicker's
Rockwell.
(b) Rebound test.
(c) Scratch test.
